Rohit Arya has been a Tarot consultant for the last ten years. He is a serious student of the Tarot, contending that it is rather presumptuous to think that anybody can ever become a complete master of one of the most complex systems devised by man. He is also opposed to the unnecessarily mystifying trends in Tarot reading, believing that there is nothing in the Tarot that cannot withstand the light of day. It is an eminently sensible system although it operates by a logic that is non-rational, not irrational. Rohit is a polymath, knowledgeable about a variety of subjects, though at present he is primarily a mythologist. He has many professional workshops designed around the myths we all live by, and how mythic structures are metaphors for life. He is knowledgeable in the mythologies of Ancient India, Greece, Rome, China, Japan, and also the Norse and Celtic traditions. He has worked extensively as a features writer. He delves into history, sociology, cross-cultural studies, comparative religion and psychology, for fresh insights into what he is doing. He also conducts workshops for corporate and educational institutions in multi-disciplinary and cultural perspectives.
